Mr. Joey Alvero, CFE

Mr. Joey Alvero, CFE is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Potato Corner, the undisputed leader in the kiosk-based fries chain segment in the Philippines and a global brand with over 1,400 stores spread across 14 countries. 

Mr. Alvero is a Hospitality Professional and a Franchise executive with more than 38 years of transnational experience in General Management, Franchising, Business Development, Hotel & Restaurant Operations, Strategic Planning, Acquisitions, Market Entry Start-Up, and Team Development.

Before his current role, he served as President of International Operations, Business Unit Head for Franchised Store Operations, and Director for Franchise and Business Development at Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures, Inc. (SPAVI). During his tenure, he spearheaded the expansion and growth of SPAVI's brands, including Shakey’s, Peri-Peri, R&B Milk Tea, and Project Pie. Additionally, he developed the Franchise ACE program for its esteemed franchisees.

Mr. Alvero built his empire of expertise of nearly 40 years from his stints working closely with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, The Peninsula Hotel, TTMC, Red Ribbon, Ramcar Group of Companies, and Shakey's Philippines.
