Professor Medini Singh is a prolific and engaging teacher. His teaching and research focuses on how to create operational excellence and leverage it to gain competitive advantage. He teaches courses on Operations Strategy, Supply Chain Management and Service Operations Management.

He has also developed and delivered a successful Global Immersion course for MBA students, “The Philippines-- Asia's Rising Tiger”.

He has won numerous awards including Singhavi Prize for Scholarship in the Classroom, Robert Lear Service Award and Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence at Columbia Business School. He teaches and advises executives in India, China, Latin America and US.

Professor Singh holds a B.E. in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and an M.E. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Manufacturing and Operations Systems and a Ph.D. in Industrial Administration, all from Carnegie Mellon.
