Dr. Samie Lim, CFE is a distinguished business leader and pioneer in Philippine retail and franchising, widely regarded as the “Father of Philippine Franchising” and one of the key pillars in establishing and advancing franchising in the country.

He currently serves as Chairman of Blims Lifestyle Group, Inc., Chairman of Francorp Philippines, and Founder & CEO of the Canadian Tourism & Hospitality Institute (CTHI).

He also holds key leadership roles as Director for Tourism, Retail and Franchising at the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and Chairman Emeritus of both the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) and the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA).

With decades of executive experience, he previously led major organizations including Automatic Centre/Blims Fine Furniture, LG Collins, and Abenson, and served in government as Undersecretary of the Department of Trade and Industry and General Manager of the National Development Company. A recognized industry thought leader, he has chaired and co-founded numerous regional and global organizations in retail, franchising, and tourism, including the World Franchise Council and the ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tourism Committee.

He holds a Master in Business Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific and a Bachelor’s degree from Ateneo de Manila University (Cum Laude), complemented by advanced training at the Asian Institute of Management and international studies in Japan. Widely honored for his contributions, he has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal and CEO Excel Award.
