Mr. Antonilo Mauricio served as Undersecretary of the Department of Trade and Industry and General Manager of the National Development Company (NDC) (October 2022–November 2024). During his tenure, he founded the Philippine Innovation Hub and chaired the government’s Startup Venture Fund (sovereign wealth fund) under the NDC.

In 2024, he was recognized as Asian Hero for Innovation & Sustainability at the Asian Hero Awards and named Man of the Year for Innovation at the Asia Leaders Awards. He was also included in the 2024 Trailblazers List by Esquire Philippines for his impact on the Philippine startup ecosystem.

He is currently the Chairman of both InnovationASIA and InnovationPH, organizations focused on digital transformation and innovation management across ecosystems. He is Co-Founder, Trustee, and Treasurer of the Global AI Council Philippines and Chairman of the Digital Media Standards Coalition, advancing responsible digital and AI governance.

With over 33 years of experience in investment, finance, and strategy, Mr. Mauricio previously led Philippine operations for the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and Fitch Ratings (formerly Thomson Ratings). He has worked across capital markets, credit ratings, fintech, AI, ICT, property, and telecommunications, and is lead author of the Philippine AI Report 2026.

A multi-awarded finance leader, he founded the Finance Education Center (FEdCenter), the country’s largest organization of finance educators and students. He has taught at De La Salle University–Dasmariñas and Asia Pacific College.

Mr. Mauricio completed executive studies in Digital Leadership at Singapore Management University and earned his BS Business Administration from University of the Philippines Diliman.
